Shotokan Karate International Kumite Kyohan comes into its own for students of yellow belt (7th Kyu) and above. While 9th and 8th kyu students can learn go-hon kumite fairly easily and perhaps without the aid of a book, the level of difficulty increases as progressive levels of kumite are studied. There are no books available which cover kihon-ippon kumite or especially ju-ippon kumite in quite as much detail as this book.
